A local health authority has confirmed that Campylobacter has been diagnosed in holidaymakers’ who recently returned from the Melia Las Dunas in Cuba. The victims began to suffer classic symptoms of food poisoning including profuse watery diarrhoea, vomiting and sickness shortly after returning home.
Simon Lomax, Simpson Millar’s Holiday Illness Claims Manager says;
”These cases have highlighted the risks of travelling to certain hotels in Cuba where hygiene standards are often poor. Illness such as salmonella and campylobacter food poisoning can be spread from person to person by an infected food handler.”
